Connect Apple Watch

1. Install PulseID on both iPhone and Apple Watch.
2. Open PulseID on the watch so it is ready to stream live heart rate.
3. On iPhone, open Connect Device and choose Apple Watch.
4. Keep the watch app open while capturing for the freshest live BPM.

Connect a Bluetooth monitor

1. Put the monitor into heart-rate broadcast or pairing mode.
2. In PulseID, open Connect Device and choose Bluetooth HR Monitor.
3. Select the monitor when it appears, then wait for the live BPM indicator.

PulseID supports compatible monitors that broadcast the standard Bluetooth heart-rate service, including supported devices from WHOOP, Polar, Garmin, and other manufacturers. Some devices require heart-rate broadcast mode to be enabled first.

No live BPM?

Check permissions

In iOS Settings, confirm that PulseID has Bluetooth access. In Apple Health, confirm that PulseID can read heart-rate data.

Check freshness

Apple Health can contain older samples. PulseID intentionally rejects stale readings, so open the watch app or reconnect the monitor to start a fresh live stream.

Check other apps

Some monitors allow only one Bluetooth connection. Disconnect the monitor from another fitness app before reconnecting it to PulseID.

Photos, videos, and imports

Tap the capture control for a photo or hold it to record video. You can also import an existing photo or video, position the BPM overlay, and export the finished media to your library or share sheet.

Account and purchases

PulseID requires secure sign-in. If Pro access is missing after reinstalling or changing devices, open Profile and choose Restore Purchases. You can delete your account from Profile; deletion removes the account data held by PulseID.
