How do I steer?

Choose Tilt to steer by moving your iPhone, or Hold Sides to steer by holding the left or right side of the screen. You can change your choice in Settings. Motion permission is only needed for Tilt.

Start with Practice to learn the course without a fatal crash. Race gives you one life to finish a 30-second page. Complete the run to see the line you drew.

What makes my Groove grade?

Groove is the rounded average of Line and Beat. Aim for 70 for B, 85 for A, and 95 for S. Style Score, Flow and near-misses are separate from your Groove grade.

What's free? What's in Full Sketchbook?

Lightning, Shooting Star and Rocket are free. The optional Full Sketchbook purchase unlocks the three Night Notes designs: Comet, Cassette and Moon Cat.

Full Sketchbook is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase, not a subscription. The purchase screen shows the current price for your App Store region. There are no paid lives or paid revives.

How do I restore my purchase?

Use the Apple Account that made the purchase, connect to the internet, and open the Full Sketchbook purchase screen in the app. Choose Restore Purchases. If you already have access, the Full Sketchbook purchase-support option lets you manage purchase questions.

If access is still missing, close and reopen the app, then contact us. You don't need to buy the unlock again to ask for help. For refund requests, visit Apple's Report a Problem website.

Sound, haptics and motion

Sound and haptics have separate controls in Settings. Muting the music does not change the scoring clock. Doodle Drift also supports reduced-motion presentation. If Tilt is uncomfortable, use Hold Sides instead.
